Angela Smith has hailed a sign of success in Bulphan and Horndon on the Hill. The longstanding problem of lorries driving through the villages, often blocking the main road through Horndon in particular, should be reduced now new roads signs for the West Horndon Industrial Estate have been put up.    Stopping violence against women

Angela has spoken at two events recently to highlight the need to do more to combat violence against women, especially domestic violence.

Speaking at Bulphan Women’s Institute, which is backing the national WI campaign on this issue, Angela said that, “Women to feel safe in their homes and where they live, when they are out especially at night they should be free from harassment, we need to do more to encourage reporting of violence against women, and to be more effective in catching and convicting the perpetrators." More
